A postdoctoral position is available in an NIH-funded project that uses
eye-tracking to manipulate text in real time to improve reading in
people with macular degeneration. The project provides opportunities for
both basic science that seeks to understand the limits of reading
performance and translational work that aims to develop the assistive
technology. Position requirements include some skill in programming
vision experiments; experience with eye tracking, virtual reality,
and/or testing of reading is a plus. Start date is flexible, and the
position is open to both US citizens and foreign nationals. The position
also provides opportunity to develop additional collaborations with the
Vision Science community at The University of Minnesota, which spans
Psychology, Ophthalmology, Neurobiology, The Center for Magnetic
Resonance Research (www.cmrr.umn.edu), and the interdisciplinary Center
for Applied and Translational Sensory Sciences (catss.umn.edu), which
will house the project.

For further information, and/or to apply, contact Steve Engel,

representation in the field, and encourage people from all backgrounds
to apply.
