[visionlist] Seeking nominations for the Optica Fall Vision Meeting Planning Committee

Dear VISIONLIST,

We are seeking nominations for open positions in the Optica Fall Vision
Meeting Planning Committee. The committee consists of ten members:
Committee Chair, Committee Chair-Elect, and topical Chairs and Chairs-Elect
who represent each of Optica’s four color and vision technical groups

Applications of Visual Science, Clinical Vision Sciences, Color, and
Vision. The current Optica Fall Vision Meeting Planning Committee
membership is listed on the meeting website, along with esteemed members of
our community who have served in past years.

Normally the term for chair-elect is 2 years with the expectation that the
chair-elect will move into the chair position for another 2 years, with a
total commitment of 4 years. This year, one of the positions (Color) will
have an initial term of just one year and thus a total commitment of three
years.

The following positions will have openings starting in January, 2023, (with
total commitment durations and completion dates):

Virtual meetings occur approximately once each month, and more frequently
in the weeks before the Fall Vision Meeting, and regular attendance is
expected. Much of the organizational work is conducted using Slack, Google
Docs, and Zoom. Attendance at the Fall Vision Meeting is expected as well.

Voting will occur during the business meeting of Optica Fall Vision
Meeting. This year’s meeting  is being held in Rochester, NY, between 20
October and 23 October, 2022
