Applications are invited for two positions in the lab of Alexander
Schütz at Marburg University.
The positions are funded by the ERC Consolidator Grant "Sensation and
Inferences in Perception, Metacognition and Action (SENCES)”. In SENCES,
we investigate how the brain treats own, inferred signals compared to
sensory signals in different types of sensory gaps, such as the
blind-spot, amodal completion and pathological scotomata. The project
combines multiple methods such as psychophysics, computational
modelling, EEG and clinical work with patients. More information on the
project can be found here:
https://www.uni-marburg.de/en/fb04/team-schuetz/sences
Post-doc position: The successful applicant will be primarily
responsible for conducting EEG studies on the neural processing of
sensory and inferred information. The successful applicant will hold a
MSc-degree or equivalent in Psychology, Neuroscience or a related field
and a PhD on a related topic. Experience with EEG is expected. More
information and the application form can be found here:

PhD student position: The successful applicant will be primarily
responsible for conducting studies on perceptual decision making and eye
movement control. The successful applicant will hold a MSc-degree or
