The Max Planck Tandem Group on Active Vision at the University of São Paulo (USP) and Ernst Strüngmann Institute (ESI) in Cooperation with Max Planck Society is seeking candidates for two post-doctoral positions.

The project aims to investigate the relationship between saccades and visual perception. Candidates should have expertise in the analysis of electrophysiological recordings. Experience in visual psychophysics, eye-tracking, and ideal observer models of behavioral data are desired, but not a requirement.

The selected candidates will receive a Post-Doctoral fellowship from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) in the amount of BRL 8.479,20 per month and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which may be spent on items directly related to the research activity. The positions are for up to 16 months, depending on the starting date, and ending in October 2024.

Applicants should send a letter of intent, a curriculum vitae, and the names of at least two scientists who can give references by May 28th, 2023. All documents should be written in English and sent electronically (in PDF format) to grohenkohl at usp.br <mailto:grohenkohl at usp.br>. Information about the requirement of the funding agency (FAPESP) can be found at fapesp.br/en/postdoc <https://fapesp.br/en/postdoc>.
