PhD Scholarship -- Machine Learning for 3D X-Ray Image based detection and Identification (non-medical)
A fully funded PhD student Scholarship is available at Flinders University, Adelaide, Australia. The PhD project will focus on machine learning and deep learning approaches in target materials detection and identification on 3D x-ray CT images for automated content inspection. Candidates with a related background in Image based objects and materials detection and analysis are invited to apply. Demonstrated working knowledge of Machine Learning with images and good programming skills in python is essential. Knowledge of other programming languages such as MATLAB is desirable but not essential. Experience with X-ray and CT images is an advantage. Ideally, the successful candidate should have journal publications and/or conference presentation experience. The scholarship is available immediately.
