Interested in doing cutting edge research in computer vision/machine
learning and in developing foundation models for surgery ?

We have several PhD positions open in the CAMMA research group,
Strasbourg, France. They aim to develop novel computer vision/artificial
intelligence approaches to analyze surgical activities in videos at
scale using large language/video models, semantic graph modeling,
self-supervised learning, and/or federated learning.

The research will be carried out with top-notch international clinical
collaborators and result in novel video modeling methods that can
transform surgical practices and surgical safety.

All positions are either fully funded by the ERC Consolidator project
CompSURG or by the Franco-German project DAIOR.

Requirements for PhD students:
Master's in Computer Science or equivalent
   Strong python programming skills
Strong knowledge in computer vision and machine learning
Proficiency in English (oral and written)
Experience with Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing and
multi-modality learning on video & text data is a plus

To apply, please send a long CV, motivation letter and academic
transcripts to Nicolas Padoy.
