[visionlist] Funded postdoc and PhD positions in vision+VR+GenAI

Dear colleagues,

I am excited to announce two fully funded openings for a postdoc and
doctoral student at the intersection of vision, virtual reality, and
generative AI, under the umbrella of multiple federally funded projects.
The objective is to develop GenAI techniques to characterize and augment
the perceptual quality of experience of users in dynamic and interactive
immersive environments, spanning in addition concepts from vision and
computer graphics. Prospective applications to other domains such as
VR-based rehabilitation and training will be pursued. The positions are
based at the New Jersey Institute of Technology in the greater NYC area
(close proximity to Manhattan).

(ii) Research statement outlining research directions and prior experience.
(iii) Transcripts and copies of degrees from both graduate and
undergraduate studies.
(iv) Contact information (email addresses) of at least three faculty
members or senior researchers willing to provide references.
*Minimum requirements include demonstrated research aptitude, e.g., through
projects and papers, proficient programming skills in deep learning
libraries (e.g., PyTorch), and a keen interest in the topic area. Prior
experience in Unity 3D is a plus.*

The positions come with competitive salary/stipend, tuition, and summer
support.
