The de Leeuw Lab at Vassar College is seeking a full-time Community Manager
to support the development of an NSF-funded open-source ecosystem for
behavioral experiments. The ecosystem is built around jsPsych, a JavaScript
library for building behavioral experiments. The Community Manager’s
primary role will be to work with software users and developers to support
the growth of the ecosystem.

*Responsibilities*
Organize hackathons, both in-person and virtual
Conduct community outreach including interviewing users to identify areas
of need, writing updates about the project and creating a project roadmap
to inform the community about planned changes.
Conduct sustainability evaluations of the community and report the results
Create and facilitate policy changes to improve the security of the
software.
Write new documentation and tutorials.
Provide support on community discussion spaces, and assist with community
governance.
Work on experiment template development.
Supervise undergraduate students.
Test new development tools.

This is a two-year, full-time, grant-funded position. Pay range
is $21.95-$25.64 per hour.

*Required Qualifications*
Undergraduate degree in cognitive science, psychology, neuroscience,
economics, or a related field.
Experience conducting behavioral research, especially in an online format.
Ability to work in small teams and communicate with a wide range of
community members.


*Preferred Qualifications*Experience working with jsPsych.
Programming experience in JavaScript or another language.
Experience using GitHub.
Experience in an organizational or leadership role.
