This is a reminder that the deadline for abstracts for the Optica Fall
Vision Meeting (York UK, Oct 3-6 2024) is August 9th.

Abstracts can be submitted here:

This will >not< be extended.

This year's meeting will include invited sessions on
- Visual Prosthetics,
- The Visual Ecology of Colour and Light,
- Machine learning and AI approaches to Retinal Diagnostics and
- Foveal Structure and Function

The meeting will also feature this year's Boynton Lecture from
Professor Mike Webster as well as an optional, hands-on workshop on
computational modeling of retinal signal processing using ISETBIO
(https://github.com/isetbio/isetbio/wiki).

Please note that this year we are planning to offer the option to
publish proceedings from the meeting in a special issue of JOSA that
focuses on the themes of the Fall Vision Meeting. Please indicate in
the submission form if you would be interested in submitting a paper
based on your abstract to this special issue.

If you are at a 'training stage' of your career (broadly, students and
postdocs) you may be eligible for the annual 'Young Investigator'
award sponsored by Optica. There is also a place to indicate this on
the abstract submission form.

Registration will open soon. The fees will be:

£250 Faculty/staff
£120 Students and postdocs
£120 Single-day attendance

A limited number of low-cost rooms 'student' rooms will be available
on campus. Many other hotel options are available in the city.

Detailed information about travel and accommodation will follow shortly.
