Dear vision-list members,
POSTDOCTORAL POSITION: PRISM CENTER AT UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA
A position for a postdoctoral associate in security and privacy for VR/AR/XR is available at the PRISM Center at the University of Florida, mentored by Dr. Eakta Jain and Dr. Kevin Butler. The NSF funded PRISM Center, led by Dr. Butler, brings together interdisciplinary researchers from multiple universities to investigate problems related to security and privacy for marginalized and vulnerable populations. Dr. Eakta Jain's lab investigates human-centered problems in VR/AR/XR.
We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher with background in VR/AR/XR who is motivated by human-centered problems related to privacy, security and vulnerable populations. The postdoctoral researcher will be co-mentored by Drs. Jain and Butler, and will have a unique opportunity to interact with a diverse team with expertise in working with marginalized and vulnerable populations, and learn about qualitative and quantitative approaches to address problems of social significance.
Postdoctoral researchers will have the opportunity to participate in other research endeavors at the Jain lab, and they are expected to make a strong contribution to the lab's overall research efforts. Essential qualifications for these positions include: a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Science, Human Centered Computing or other closely related fields. Experience working with VR/AR/XR and/or human subjects is preferred.
Applicants should apply via email to Eakta Jain (ejain at ufl.edu<mailto:ejain at ufl.edu>) and should supply application materials (cover letter, CV, research statement, and contact information for 2 references).
This position is subject to the University's background check policy.
Thanks,
Eakta
