Dear colleagues,
I will be reviewing applications this cycle for a PhD student to join my
lab in the Department of Psychology at University of Massachusetts at
Amherst, beginning Fall ’25.
We broadly study the development of high-level perception and cognition,
such as numerical cognition, mental rotation, and intuitive physics. We
work with both children and adult participants, and use behavioral (e.g.,
psychophysics, eye-tracking) and neuroimaging methods (e.g., fMRI and
fNIRS). For an overview of some of the projects in the lab, see:
www.auletlab.com
This is a great opportunity for students interested in understanding
cognitive development and/or cognitive neuroscience. Candidates will
ideally have programming skills and/or experience working with kids, and a
general interest in the cognitive and neural mechanisms underlying
perception and development.
Info for applying to the PhD program in the Department of Psychology
(Cognition and Cognitive Neuroscience) can be found below:

Please forward this ad to potential candidates. I am also happy to answer
any questions about the lab, projects, or anything else over email:
