Hello,
We would like to advertise a fully funded PhD position available at Nottingham Trent University: Machine learning powered neuromodulation for personalised treatment of neurodevelopmental disorders
This project aims to develop a novel machine learning framework by leveraging a dynamical systems perspective for designing stimulation protocols (SPs) towards improved customised medical treatments. To validate and calibrate the newly developed algorithms, we will combine stimulation techniques, particularly transcranial magnetic and electrical stimulation, with EEG data.
The ideal candidate for this project will have a passion for scientific computing (machine learning and dynamical systems) and a willingness to learn about mathematical/computational neuroscience and Python programming language frameworks.
Start date is September 2025
Deadline for applications is 14th Feb 2025
