Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to announce a call for papers for a Special Issue of Visual Cognition in Honor of Charles Folk and Roger Remington.
Over the past several decades, Profs. Charles Folk and Roger Remington have pioneered major advances in understanding how humans control attention. Their 1992 Contingent Involuntary Orienting Hypothesis and subsequent joint works have impacted thousands of research studies and inform most theories of attention today. Both Folk and Remington have contributed consequential independent work beyond their collaboration as well. To honor their significant career contributions, we are pleased to announce this special issue. We invite scholarly submissions that have been meaningfully influenced by Folk & Remington's foundational work.
Submissions are requested by September 1st, 2025.
