Dear All,
The Sasaki Lab (https://www.nips.ac.jp/eng/research/group/post-67/) at the
National Institute for Physiological Sciences (NIPS; Okazaki, Japan) is
seeking to hire a postdoctoral fellow who will work on one of the following
topics: flexible multisensory integration systems, spatial navigation
systems, balancing system for risk-reward decisions, or tracking and
avoidance systems.
Although it is preferable for candidates to have research experience using
macaque monkeys, we also welcome applications from highly motivated
researchers with experience in research with animals other than macaque
monkeys, and with an interest in animal psychology, systems neuroscience,
computational neuroscience, and/or artificial intelligence.
The National Institute for Physiological Sciences (NIPS) is the core
national research institute for fundamental physiology in Japan, aiming for
promoting research in physiology on the molecular, cellular, organ, and
individual levels, with the purpose of ultimately comprehensively
elucidating the brain functions.
Sasaki Lab houses the virtual reality (VR) system to realistically recreate
various natural environments for cognitive tasks to clarify the dynamics of
brain networks underlying flexible cognitive behaviors and decision-making
using non-human primates.
If you have any questions, please send an email to Ryo Sasaki
