Dear members of the OPAM community,

The OPAM conference has long served as a vital platform for early-career
scientists studying Object Perception, Attention, and Memory. Today, we are
very excited to announce several new initiatives to broaden OPAM’s impact.

*1. OPAM Training Workshops*

We will launch a new series of online workshops designed to provide
essential training for early-career researchers. These workshops will be
held throughout the year, independent of the main OPAM conference, and will
be *completely free*.

Our inaugural session, "*Running Online and In-Person Experiments Using
PsychoPy* <https://www.opamconference.com/workshops-summary>", will be led
by *Dr. Rebecca Hirst*, Chief Science Officer at PsychoPy. The workshop
will take place on *May 13, 2025, from 1:00–2:30 PM EST via Zoom*. Given
PsychoPy's widespread use in OPAM-related research, this interactive
training session promises to be highly valuable. Please share this
opportunity with interested trainees.

*2. OPAM's New Website*

We are also happy to introduce our new website: *opamconference.com*
<http://opamconference.com>. Going forward, all OPAM activities, including
workshop registration, abstract submissions, and travel award applications,
will be managed through this site. To participate, users will need to
create a *free account on the website*. We hope the new platform enhances
your experience with OPAM.

These new developments have been made possible due to a generous grant from
the National Science Foundation’s Perception, Action, & Cognition Program.
(Grant Number: 2435675). This program has long supported our community in
vital ways, and we express our deepest gratitude for its support.

We look forward to sharing more exciting initiatives in the near future.
Thank you for being part of the OPAM community.

Sincerely,

The OPAM Team
