Dear colleagues,

As I have already shared with you a while ago, the *MANER Conference
Mainz/Darmstadt 2025*, a unique international event focusing on
*material appearance*, will take place on August 28 and 29, 2025, in
conjunction with the European Conference on Visual Perception (ECVP 2025).

While we have already received a large number of abstract submissions,
we would like to extend the opportunities to submit full papers for peer
review, and have thus decided to extend the deadline to June 15th. See
https://maner.network/maner2025/ for more information.

I also take this opportunity to announce an excellent lineup of *keynote
speakers*:

  * *Katja Doerschner* (University of Giessen): /“Perception of
Materials and Objects through Active Exploration”/
  * *Elena Garces *(Adobe Inc.): /“From Loom to Screen: The Ongoing
    Quest for Realistic Digital Textiles”/
  * *Constantin Rothkopf *(Technical University of Darmstadt): /“Where
We Look When We Interact with the World”/

On behalf of the chairs, Philipp Urban, Christoph Freiherr von Castell,
Roland Fleming, Davit Gigilashvili, and I, I wish you all the best, and
hope to see your submission(s) and also to meet you in Mainz and
Darmstadt in August!
