Dear colleagues,
We are delighted to announce the second edition of the European Summer
School in Sensory Neuroscience, intended for students enrolled or intending
to enroll in a Neuroscience (or related) Master’s degree.
The school is hosted by the University of Pisa and co-organized with
the Science
of Intelligence Cluster <https://www.scienceofintelligence.de/>, supported
by NEUROBRIDGE <https://www.sns.it/en/tne-neurobridge-initiatives> and
included in the cooperative initiatives of the Circle U. Alliance.
The school will take place September 3-9 2025 on campus, at the Gipsoteca
di Arte Antica dell’Università di Pisa.
*Application Deadline:* 30 June 2025
Renowned specialists will guide a limited number of students (maximum 30)
through an introduction to the complexity of the human mind and brain,
tackled through the study of sensation and perception. The school will
feature an fMRI bootcamp at the Imago7
<https://www.imago7.eu/en/homepage-en/> ultra-high field MRI facility, a
site visit to IMT <https://www.imtlucca.it/en> (School for Advanced Studies
Lucca), and a site visit to the Human Anatomy Museum
<https://www.mau.sma.unipi.it/en/> in Pisa.
The school is fully funded (no application fees). Students may apply for
accommodation provided by the organizers; if requests exceed available
funding, the selection will be based on relevance of the CV and it will
prioritize early applications. In addition, travel grants are available for
students from NEUROBRIDGE partner institutions, and further funding may be
accessible through the Circle U. Alliance (please check with your home
University).
Please see the attached flyer for the program, and the school website for
more information:

Feel free to use the flyer if you would like to promote the school in your

Thank you so much!
All the best,
Paola Binda
