Are you passionate about Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence? The University of Udine is excited to announce multiple fully funded PhD positions in our Machine Learning and Perception (MLP) team. This is your chance to delve into cutting-edge research in a vibrant academic environment in Italy.

What You'll Be Doing
As a PhD student, you'll be an integral part of our MLP research group, focusing on one of the following innovative projects:
- Image-based food analysis and generation (e.g., estimation of nutrition factors from food images, generative AI for the food industry)
- Egocentric visual tracking
- Skeleton-based action recognition
- Medical imaging (e.g., metal artifacts removal, anomaly detection, etc.)

You'll work closely with our team of experienced researchers, participate in regular group meetings, and have the opportunity to present your work at top conferences.

You're Probably a Match If You Have
- An MSc degree (or expect to obtain one by October 2025) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- A strong interest in machine learning, computer vision, or related areas.
- Good programming skills and familiarity with relevant tools and frameworks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
