Dear colleagues,

The Faculty of Science and Technology at Sophia University (Tokyo, Japan) is inviting applications for multiple full-time faculty positions in the newly established Department of Digital Green Technology, scheduled to launch in April 2027.

We are seeking candidates in fields related to Digital Transformation (DX) and Green Transformation (GX), with a focus on data science and its applications in areas such as AI, machine learning, informatics, smart cities, and sustainability.

Positions available:

2–3 Professors (tenured)
2–3 Associate Professors (tenured)
3 Assistant Professors (5-year tenure-track)
All courses will be taught in English. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. (or be expected to obtain one) and be capable of teaching and supervising research in English.

Application deadline: June 30, 2025
Start date: April 1, 2027 (subject to approval of the department’s establishment)
