[visionlist] Postdoc/PhD/internship in foundation models for neural control of locomotion

Dear All, 

There are several open positions available in the Dynamics of Neural Systems laboratory in the beautiful city of Vienna. The positions are generously funded as part of a 1.6m career grant from the Vienna Science and Technology Fund (WWTF) <https://wwtf.at/funding/programmes/vrg/VRG24-002/>.

The call is primarily targeted towards computer scientists and roboticists (or similar computational scientists) who are motivated to work with large-scale neural recordings and motion capture data, and develop and deploy at-scale vision-language-action models to drive physics-based simulations of movement. The project aims to generate data-driven insights into the neural control of locomotion. 

As my group is driven by theoretical research, we also welcome open-ended applications from scientists with strong mathematical backgrounds.
