Applications for the 13th edition of the PhD Programme in Optometry and Vision Science at the University of Minho will be open from 4 to 15 July 2025.
Since its launch in 2013, the programme has enrolled around 50 students from 10 different countries, reflecting its international scope and academic excellence.
This PhD offers advanced research training in areas such as vision optics, electrophysiology, colour vision, myopia control, visual rehabilitation, binocular vision, contact lenses, and vision in sport. It is intended for professionals aiming to engage in high-level scientific research and innovation in multidisciplinary environments.
The programme is based in Braga, Portugal, and is coordinated by the School of Sciences of the University of Minho, through the Department of Physics.
