To all those with an interest in computational neuroscience and clinical disorders!

We’re excited to present a satellite event at the Cognitive Computational Neuroscience conference, highlighting how computational models can deepen our understanding of sensory disorders and guide targeted therapies.

We’ll showcase methods for investigating visual disorders, including using fMRI with population receptive field models to predict recovery in hemianopia, and improving population receptive field methods with Bayesian modelling. We'll also discuss modelling eye-movement data to assess visual field integrity. Next, we’ll turn to tinnitus and the auditory system, illustrating how computational models can shed light on this condition. Finally, we’ll cover computational approaches for monitoring and informing sight restoration therapies, including prostheses and gene therapies.

This session demonstrates the power of computational methods in clinical disorder research, with contributions from 10 academic institutions in the Netherlands and beyond. We hope you’re as excited as we are!

Please join us for our CCN satellite event "Computational insights into clinical disorders"!
