Dear colleagues,

** Deadline Extended to November 1st **

We are writing to invite submissions for the following issue in Visual Cognition:

The Control of Visual Attention: A Special Issue of Visual Cognition in Honor of Charles Folk and Roger Remington

Over the past several decades, Profs. Charles Folk and Roger Remington have pioneered major advances in understanding how humans control attention. Their 1992 Contingent Involuntary Orienting Hypothesis and subsequent joint works have impacted thousands of research studies and inform most theories of attention today. Both Folk and Remington have contributed consequential independent work beyond their collaboration as well. To honor their significant career contributions, we are pleased to announce this special issue. We invite scholarly submissions that have been meaningfully influenced by Folk & Remington's foundational work.

The submission deadline has been extended to November 1st, 2025.

Full Research articles, Brief articles, and Review articles will be considered. For more information and to submit your work, please visit this link:
