Secondly, we are excited to announce that this year we will introduce a new

During this lunch you can be paired with one of a panel of experts, and
will have the chance to ask them questions while enjoying a free lunch! The
experts this year are as follows:

leaving academia and coming back, having worked at the National Highway
Traffic Safety Administration for several years after her postdoc before

unique perspective of funding process as an NSF director
· Dr. Patrick Cox - Lehigh University – Having recently started as an
assistant professor, Dr. Cox offers a unique perspective for early career
researchers as they navigate the tricky path to professorship
· Dr. Joy Geng - University of California, Davis – As well as being the
keynote speaker at OPAM33, Dr. Geng has agreed to share her perspective
given her journey through academia.
· Dr. Jeremy Wolfe - Harvard Medical School – Does Jeremy even need an
introduction?
Everyone is welcome to sign up! But if interest outpaces availability then
selection will be based on the personal statement which is part of the
signing up process.
And last but not least, we will host an OPAM online workshop titled:
Preregistration & Registered Reports: How to improve the credibility and
reproducibility of your research. This workshop will be given by Dr. Caro
