**Description**

A position for a Postdoctoral Research Associate with expertise in Machine
Learning and Computer Vision is now open at University of York to study the
role of developmental curriculum learning in infants and use those insights
to design more efficient perception models . The project is a collaboration
between Dr. Elena Geangu’s lab (Psychology Department, University of York)
and Google DeepMind, bringing together expertise in computer science and
developmental psychology.

The position is fully funded for 12-months, and funds to cover
participation at scientific events will be provided. The project will
benefit from a significant compute allocation in Google Compute Credits.


**Deadline for applications**: November 11, 2025


**Requirements**

- PhD in machine learning, Computer Vision or related areas
- Knowledge of image, video, or audio-visual backbones, architectures and
training paradigms.
- Experience with computer vision models for video.
- Proficiency in Python for machine learning (pytorch, jax)
- Open to work in an interdisciplinary team (Machine Learning, Psychology)
