Satellite and Social Event Proposals 
for VSS 2026 are Now Being Accepted 


 

We are now accepting proposals for satellite and social events for VSS 2026. A satellite or social is an event that requires venue facilities, publicity in VSS media, or coordination with VSS staff, but that is not an official VSS event. Examples include special interest groups, user groups, committee meetings, workshops, tutorials, social events, or scientific meetings. Satellite or social events can be open to all attendees or be invitation only but may not overlap with any official VSS event. 

 

All satellites must be approved by VSS. An application form must be completed and submitted by January 9, 2026. Approved satellite and social events will be scheduled in January and organizers of accepted events will be notified thereafter.

Abstract Submissions Close December 4

 

VSS is now accepting abstracts for talk and poster presentations at the 2026 Annual Meeting. Each person may be first author on one submission, and first authors must be current 2026 VSS members before submitting.

 

New this year: A limited number of remote talk and poster presentations will be available for those unable to attend in person.
