*OPAM Call for Workshop Proposals*

Dear OPAMers,

The Object Perception, Attention, and Memory (OPAM) Conference is hosting *a
series of five free, online training workshops for early-career researchers
throughout 2026*, funded through the National Science Foundation (NSF),
with a second round of workshops planned in 2027.

The goal of this workshop series is to provide accessible, high-quality
training that supports professional development in cognitive psychology and
related fields. Workshops should focus on practical skills, methodological
tools, or career-relevant topics that are often underrepresented in formal
graduate curricula and that will directly benefit graduate students,
postdoctoral researchers, and other early-career scholars. Workshops should
be instructional and hands-on, with a clear focus on skill development.
Proposals from individual instructors or small teams are welcome.

Selected workshops will be offered online and free of charge to
participants, and selected workshop instructors will receive a *$500
honorarium*, awarded to one designated primary instructor per workshop.

*Who Should Apply*

We welcome proposals from:

   - Postdoctoral researchers
   - Early-career faculty
   - Research scientists and practitioners with relevant expertise

We strongly encourage submissions from scholars representing *different
institutions, methodological approaches, and career paths*.

*Workshop Topics*

Proposed workshops may address (but are not limited to):

   - Research methods and experimental design
   - Data analysis, statistics, and computational tools
   - Open science, reproducibility, and data management
   - Grant writing, publishing, and peer review
   - Teaching, mentoring, and academic career development
   - Industry, applied, or alternative career pathways

Workshops should be *interactive and instructional*, rather than research
talks. The duration of the workshop should be between 90 and 120 minutes,
including Q&A.

*What to Include in Your Proposal*

Proposals should include the following information:

   1. Workshop title and brief abstract
   2. Intended learning outcomes (what participants will be able to do
   after the workshop)
   3. The intended target audience
   4. Assumed prerequisite knowledge (e.g., beginner, intermediate,
   advanced)
   5. Software or materials required to participate (if any)
   6. Preferred presentation date(s) (if applicable)
   7. Presenter name(s), affiliation(s), and career stage

*Submission*

Proposals are reviewed on a *rolling basis** and should be sent
to opam.info at gmail.com <opam.info at gmail.com>*

For any questions regarding this call, please contact *opam.info at gmail.com
<opam.info at gmail.com>*.

We look forward to receiving your proposals and to offering an engaging
