Dear colleagues,
We're looking for a new PhD student to join the UCL Child Vision Lab under Prof. Tessa Dekker and Dr. Roni Maimon-Mor at University College London, UK. Please help pass this on to any suitable candidates!
The studentship is fully funded for students of all backgrounds, and supported by a Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant. It is a part of the IndiBrain European training network. This is a unique opportunity to work with and receive training from leading experts in visual neuroscience across Europe.
The proposed project: Assessing individual changes in information flow following ocular gene therapy using pRF and CF modeling - University College London.
This PhD project aims to study how neural networks adapt to partial vision loss and sight rescue. It uses advanced imaging (fMRI, qMRI) and psychophysics to model communication between the eye and brain in individuals with visual impairments before and after treatment.
Requirements:
- NOTE: Candidates must not have resided in the UK for more than 12 months in the last 3 years
- A background in cognitive science, neuroscience, psychology, or related field.
Deadline: 27.2.2026
