The Centre for Vision Research at York University is happy to announce the 2026 Ian P. Howard Memorial Lecture. The lecture series is in honour of the founder of the CVR and we invite and honour a world-renown academic who provides a lecture with broad scientific appeal.

We are extremely pleased to announce that this year’s honoree is Dr. Marlene Behrmann,
John and Clelia Sheppard Chair in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Behrmann will deliver her lecture on Friday, April 17, 2026 at York University in Toronto. More details are available in the attached flyer.
