We are pleased to announce that registration is open for the European Adaptive Optics Summer School, which will be held at the Centre for Advanced Instrumentation, Durham University, UK 13th – 17th July 2026.

Topics will cover the basics of adaptive optics (AO) across applications in vision science, ophthalmology, astronomy, microscopy, free space optics and beyond. The programme will be delivered by experts from across the different application areas of AO and includes lectures, hands-on lab sessions, virtual lab tours, a poster session, and a social event. We plan to offer a hybrid registration with virtual attendance for lectures only.

Expected registration fee:  £400 early registration (academic price)
£500 standard registration (academic price)

£1000 early registration (industry price)
£1200 standard registration  (industry price)

£80 for remote attendance (limited programme)

Accommodation: Accommodation is available on campus for £67.50 per night, booked via the school.

Travel costs: Attendees will be expected to arrange and fund their own travel

Registration deadline: Early registration – Monday 27th April 2026
                                                  Standard registration – Friday 15th May 2026
