2306-5354, IF 4.4), Prof. Dr.
Anthony Guiseppi-Elie, is pleased to announce a new Special Issue entitled
"Application of Deep
Learning in Medical Image Classification and Segmentation for Precise
Disease Diagnosis". As
Guest Editors for this Special Issue and on behalf of the Editor-in-Chief,
we cordially invite you to
submit a manuscript for consideration and possible publication in this
Special Issue. The
submission deadline is “31 December 2026”, and papers may be submitted
immediately or at any
point until “31 December 2026”, as papers will be published on an ongoing

The aim of this Special Issue is to present original research and critical
reviews on state-of-the-art
deep learning methodologies for medical image classification and
segmentation, with the purpose of
offering actionable guidelines for integrating AI into clinical workflows.
This Special Issue focuses on
technical and practical issues in diagnostic imaging related to multimodal
data fusion and limited
supervision, aiming to advance this critical medico-engineering field, with
a particular emphasis on
topics which tackle inter-patient variability and real-world data
heterogeneity.
