<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-size: 12.8px;">The UC-Davis ERP Boot Camp, a 10-day NIH-funded summer workshop on the ERP technique, will be held at UC-Davis July 10-19, 2017. [Note: Scholarships are available this year for international as well as domestic
participants.] It is intended primarily for beginning and intermediate-level ERP researchers and for both basic scientists and clinical researchers from a variety of disciplines.<br class="">

The topics will include:<br class="">
<br class="">
1) Where do ERPs come from? What do they mean?<br class="">
<br class="">
2) Common ERP components<br class="">
<br class="">
3) The design and interpretation of ERP experiments<br class="">
<br class="">
4) EEG data acquisition<br class="">
<br class="">
5) Filtering, artifact rejection, and artifact correction<br class="">
<br class="">
6) Measuring and analyzing ERP components<br class="">
<br class="">
7) Setting up and running an ERP lab<br class="">
<br class="">
The Boot Camp consists of lectures on these topics, accompanied by guided discussions of ERP papers, activities, and individual consultations. It is led by Steve Luck and Emily Kappenman, and the faculty includes many distinguished ERP researchers from UC Davis
and other universities.<br class="">
<br class="">
Participants at previous Boot Camps have come from around the world and have included graduate students, postdocs, research scientists, and full professors. They have included psychologists, neuroscientists, psychiatrists, neurologists, speech pathologists,
and more. Typically, we require that graduate students and postdocs will have had at least 1 year of significant ERP experience before attending the Boot Camp. We strongly encourage applications from faculty-level researchers and from individuals from underrepresented
groups.<br class="">

Funding is available from NIH to defray most or all of the costs of attending the Boot Camp. Although in the past this funding has only been available for U.S. citizens and permanent residents, we have a few scholarships available for international participants
this year as well. We typically accept 30 U.S. citizens and permanent residents, along with 5 international participants.<br class="">

<b class="">Applications are due by March 1, 2017</b>. Admissions decisions will be made in early April. <br class="">

Please note that there will be no 10-day ERP Boot Camp in 2018, although we hope to resume offering the workshop in 2019.<br class="">
