Mary Hayhoe received her PhD from the University of California, San Diego in 1980. She was a member of the Center for Visual Science at the University of Rochester from 1984 - 2005. In 2006, Mary moved to the Center for Perceptual Systems at the University of Texas Austin. She is the acknowledged leader in developing experimental paradigms for the investigation of natural visually guided behavior in both real and virtual environments.
