approached by researchers who expressed difficulty meeting the relatively early

submission deadline for the European Conference of Eye Movements in Wuppertal. As a

result, we have decided to move the deadline to April 18 as the final date for

submissions of talks and posters. The time for notification and early

registration will be moved up to May 15.  <o:p class=""></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:6.0pt"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:107%" class="">We have already received a large

number of submissions. Note that changes to your submission can still be made

in the ConfTool system before the final April 18 deadline. <o:p class=""></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:6.0pt"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:107%" class="">Compared to the earlier ECEM

conferences in Vienna and Lund we have been able to lower registration fees to

160 € (early) and 200 € (late) for students (including doctoral students) and

to 260 (early) and 300 (late) for regular attendees. <o:p class=""></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:6.0pt"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:107%" class="">We would also like to mention that

ECEM takes place immediately before the European Conference for Visual

Perception (ECVP) from 27-31 August in Berlin and the Conference of the

European Society for Cognitive Psychology (ESCOP) from September 3-6 in

Potsdam. For overseas travelers it may be interesting to know that the

Berlin/Potsdam area can be reached from Wuppertal, Düsseldorf or Cologne by

train in about 4 hours. So attending two conferences can be easily combined

with touristic activities in either area.<o:p class=""></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:6.0pt"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:107%" class="">Abstracts of all ECEM contributions

trails in unspoiled nature. The romantic Rhine valley is just a short drive

away. Social activities at ECEM will include a conference dinner at the
