available in the Laboratory of Developmental Neuroscience in the Psychology Department </span><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif;color:black">(</span><a href="http://sites.psu.edu/scherflab/)"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif">http://sites.psu.edu/scherflab/)</span></a><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif;color:rgb(51,51,51)"> at Penn State University. The Project Manager will be
responsible for working closely with the Principle Investigator (PI) and other
research study staff to oversee a 5-year NIH-funded longitudinal study on
pubertal development. This project is designed to understand how pubertal
development influences brain development and social information processing
abilities.</span><span style="font-size:12pt;line-height:107%;font-family:Helvetica,sans-serif;color:rgb(51,51,51);background-image:initial;background-position:initial;background-size:initial;background-repeat:initial;background-origin:initial;background-clip:initial"> </span><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif;color:rgb(51,51,51);background-image:initial;background-position:initial;background-size:initial;background-repeat:initial;background-origin:initial;background-clip:initial">The Research Project Manager will provide
overall grant organization including coordinating the day-to-day management of
the study, providing project-related administrative support to the study team,
as well as monitoring compliance with federal regulations and University policy.
</span><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif;color:rgb(51,51,51)">The responsibilities include (but are not
limited to): planning, developing, and maintaining, internal study procedures,
policies, and quality control; managing and tracking budget and resources;
assisting with PSU Institutional Review Board submissions; preparing study
documentation; supervising undergraduate research staff; participant
recruitment; and organizing participant/family laboratory visits. <span></span></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif;color:rgb(51,51,51)"><br></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0.0001pt;line-height:normal;background-image:initial;background-position:initial;background-size:initial;background-repeat:initial;background-origin:initial;background-clip:initial"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif;color:rgb(51,51,51)">The position typically
requires a Bachlor’s degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or
an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency with
Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) is required. The successful
candidate must have an understanding of research methods, be technologically
savvy, highly motivated, proactive, have excellent written communication
skills, work effectively with a professional team as well as independently, and
consistently demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Experience working with children and adolescents is preferred. The position is
scheduled to begin June 15, 2017, although flexibility on this date is
possible.<span></span></span></p>
