<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly-motivated person with
<b>vision science, experimental psychology, or visual psychophysics background who would enjoy the challenge of working with and for the benefit of people with vision impairments</b>. The successful candidate will make major contributions to a project evaluating
the object recognition with background clutter in visual prostheses and a project understanding, evaluating, and improving vision and the lack of vision in patients with tunnel vision. Experience in object recognition research, using sensory substitution devices,
using driving simulators, or a background in a related research field would be advantageous.
<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif""><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">PhD in an area related to vision science or visual neuroscience is required. Good problem-solving skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently
on multiple tasks are essential. A strong background in computer use is necessary and above-level of programming skills would be advantageous. Knowledge of statistics or experience with people with vision impairment would be a plus.
