<p>The University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) has
embarked on a multi-year, multi-departmental expansion in
neuroscience and related areas of research. As part of this
growth, the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences
invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in
Vision Science/Visual Neuroscience at the Assistant Professor
level. The appointed person will be able to establish a strong
program of research in areas related to vision science broadly
defined utilizing one or many techniques including behavioral,
computational, and/or physiological approaches. </p>
<p>Preferred candidates will have an outstanding record or
promise of research accomplishment commensurate with this
stage in their career, and a commitment to excellence in
teaching and mentoring at the undergraduate and graduate
levels. Recent and prospective Ph.D recipients, post-doctoral
researchers, and current Assistant Professors are all
encouraged to apply. </p>

<p>The minimum requirement to receive full consideration is the
completion of all requirements for a PhD in Psychology,
Psychological Sciences, Neuroscience, or a related field (or
equivalent degree) except the dissertation (or equivalent) at
the time of application. In addition, the candidates must
