Preference will be given to candidates with evidence of strong quantitative or computational skills.<br class=""><br class="">The successful candidate will have the opportunity to interact closely with the existing team in Roland Fleming’s lab, as well as other colleagues in closely related areas, including Karl Gegenfurtner, Knut Drewing, Katja Doerschner and Huseyin Boyaci. The successful candidate will also work closely with Schlenk Metallic Pigments GmbH (<a href="http://www.schlenk.com/" class="">www.schlenk.com</a>).</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Our lab offers excellent facilities for studying visual perception and motor control from both empirical and computational perspectives, ranging from psychophysics to fMRI and Deep Neural Networks. We are part of several larger research consortia on perception and action (e.g., <a href="http://www.sfb-perception.de/" class="">http://www.sfb-perception.de</a>, <a href="https://www.uni-marburg.de/fb13/forschungsgruppen/neurophysik/brainact" class="">https://www.uni-marburg.de/fb13/forschungsgruppen/neurophysik/brainact</a>). The group offers a stimulating, multi-national and multi-disciplinary research environment for young scientists (<a href="http://www.allpsych.uni-giessen.de/" class="">http://www.allpsych.uni-giessen.de</a>). We routinely have visiting faculty from other leading universities taking sabbaticals or other extended stays in the group.
