<br></div><div><br></div><div>Dear Colleagues: </div><div><br></div><div>A position is available in the Rucker lab at the New England College of Optometry in Boston for an energetic and highly-motivated <a href="https://www.neco.edu/jobs/job/postdoctoral-researcher-full-time">post-doctoral</a> fellow to participate in an NIH-funded project exploring the role of color in the development of myopia. <br></div><br>The post-doc will be responsible for all aspects of the project including data collection and analysis, preparation and completion of scientific publications. The position also includes the opportunity to contribute towards supervision of a Masters student, and other students in our summer research training program. <br><br>The successful candidate should hold a relevant Ph.D. and have a proven track record (e.g. first-author publications). The ideal candidate will have strong computational skills and a willingness to learn measuring and analysis techniques. Key activities include: computational analyses, experimental design and data analysis, dissection and preparation of animal tissues, preparation of written reports and publications, supervision of animal care.<br><br>Applicants should hold an MS or PhD in Psychology, Neuroscience, Vision Science, Molecular Biology or related degree. <br><br>The Myopia Research Group at NECO is a strong group of scientists covering many aspects of myopia development. We are located in the center of Boston with its plentiful scientific and cultural resources.<br><br>The salary for this position is commensurate with experience as determined by NIH guidelines.
