CALL FOR PAPERS - Human Vision and Electronic Imaging

The conference on Human Vision and Electronic Imaging (HVEI) is
part of the Symposium
on Electronic Imaging, which will be held in Burlingame,
California, USA, on January 14-17, 2019. HVEI brings together
scientists and engineers from academia and industry, with the
goals of informing industry how it can benefit from vision
science, and exposing researchers to applied problems.

More information about the conference can be found at the
IS&T website: http://www.imaging.org/site/IST/IST/Conferences/EI/EI_2019/Conference/C_HVEI.aspx,
and a new (and currently incomplete) web site set up by the new
conference chairs: https://jbmulligan.github.io/HVEI/.

There are now three different ways to present your work at HVEI:

1) Traditional conference proceedings paper (4-6 pages, on-line,
open access). Submission deadline September 8th

2) New "journal-first" option, in which papers can be submitted
to one of the IS&T's journals - the Journal of Imaging Science
and Technology, or the new <a

of Perceptual Imaging (JPI). Papers submitted with the
journal-first option may be presented at the conference with a 50%
discount of the registration fee. The deadline for journal-first
submission is June 30th.

3) New "presentation-only" option. Present a talk or poster
without a proceedings paper. Abstract deadline September 8th.
