<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Systems neuroscience laboratory studying the function of the visual system seeks a Research Assistant. The Research Assistant independently performs and coordinates a wide range of research procedures and
conducts a variety of support tasks, with periodic review by supervisor. A primary responsibility will be managing a group of non-human primates involved in behavioral and physiological experiments. The RA will also perform general laboratory supervision,
maintenance and inventory of supplies and reagents, and preparation for and assistance with surgical procedures. In addition, the RA will interact with other laboratory personnel working on projects involving behavior, physiology and reversible inactivation
of brain regions in alert, non-human primates and also will coordinate with veterinary and animal care staff on issues relating to animal health and well-being. There will be ample opportunity for the RA to develop an independent research project in collaboration
with other members of the laboratory.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Qualifications:<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">College background or equivalent work experience, preferably in biology, engineering, or a related discipline. Bachelor's degree preferred. The successful candidate must be able to work collaboratively with
laboratory, animal care, and administrative staff at all levels. Strong organizational skills are highly desired as is relevant experience in some or all of the following areas: handling and training non-human primates, surgical preparation and assistance.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
