include cellular and molecular biology of the eye, physiology, pharmacology, microbiology, genetics, stem cell biology, biomedical optics and imaging, psychophysics and other topics. Current research strengths and opportunities include the study of hereditary
retinal degenerations, retinal physiology, glaucoma, ocular surface diseases (dry eye), the development of refractive errors, biomedical imaging, visual brain function, and visual rehabilitation. Broader institutional strengths include neuroscience, aging,
