<div class=""><b class="" style="font-size: 14px;">What: </b><span class="" style="font-size: 14px;">The project will investigate how humans combine visual and touch information to understand material properties (e.g. glossiness, weight, friction, compliance).
The research will combine behavioural studies and computational modelling. </span></div>
<div class=""><span style="font-size: 14px;" class="">The position is generously funded by the EU DyViTo project (</span><a href="https://dyvito.com" style="font-size: 14px;" class="">https://dyvito.com</a><span style="font-size: 14px;" class="">), with excellent opportunities
for networking and travel. If the successful applicant also registers for a PhD, fees (in addition to salary) will be covered in full. Applicants in the final stages of a PhD are welcome to apply, as long as the PhD has not been awarded at the time of application.
The post is fixed term until 30th October 2021, with additional funding available to complete a 3-year PhD, if applicable. </span></div>

Facilities
include a virtual reality environment, visual-haptic presentation (Phantom force-feedback, oculus touch), stereoscopic presentation, eye tracking, computational modelling (super-computing) and EEG. </span></div>
