the 3<span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 9px; line-height: 0; ">rd</span> edition of the international PhD workshop “The Influences of Motivation and Emotion on Visual Processing”. The 2-day workshop will take place from 6<span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 9px; line-height: 0; ">th</span> to
7<span style="box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 9px; line-height: 0; ">th</span> of June 2019 at the University of Göttingen, Germany, and is supported by the <span class="link-external" style="box-sizing: border-box;"><a href="http://www.u4network.eu/" style="box-sizing: border-box; background-color: transparent; color: rgb(22, 55, 118); text-decoration-line: none;">U4
network</a></span>. Participating groups include the <span class="link-external" style="box-sizing: border-box;"><a href="https://www.cap-lab.be/nl/home" style="box-sizing: border-box; background-color: transparent; color: rgb(22, 55, 118); text-decoration-line: none;">Cognitive

The workshop will focus on the question, how visual perception is sharpened by motivational, emotional and attentional influences, and how these multiple factors are integrated in the brain, in the service of adaptive behaviour. The programme will consist of
multiple formats, including short presentations of the PhD students' individual projects, position and overview presentations of senior scientists, and round table discussions. Confirmed speakers are Rasha Abdel Rahman (Berlin), Sebastiaan Mathot (Groningen),
Arezoo Pooresmaeili (Goettingen), Gilles Pourtois (Ghent), Annekathrin Schacht (Goettingen), and Matthias Wieser (Rotterdam).</p>
