Strabismus and amblyopia are associated with loss of binocular function and perceptual adaptations. A postdoctoral position is available in Rowan Candy’s lab at Indiana University to work on NIH-funded projects related to the interaction between ocular motor control and binocular vision. This work lies at the intersection of the fields of visual perception, eye movements and visual neuroscience. It is performed in the context of both typical and atypical visual development.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><div class="">The approaches available include eye-tracking (both mobile and desktop), psychophysics, large-field dichoptic rear-projection systems and eccentric photorefraction, with full access to a clinical population. Applicants should have a background in at least a subset of psychophysics, eye-tracking, visual optics, visual neuroscience and/or clinical care, and will have the opportunity to gain training in any of these areas. The initial appointment will be for one year, with the potential for renewal. The start date is flexible.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Indiana University provides world-class local resources in Bloomington in vision science, neuroscience, cognitive science and psychological & brain sciences with numerous opportunities for collaborative interactions.</div><div class=""><a href="https://www.indiana.edu/about/index.html" class="">https://optometry.iu.edu/research/index.html</a></div><div class=""><a href="https://psych.indiana.edu/research/index.html" class="">https://psych.indiana.edu/research/index.html</a></div><div class=""><a href="https://neuroscience.indiana.edu/research/core-research-areas/index.html" class="">https://neuroscience.indiana.edu/research/core-research-areas/index.html</a></div><div class=""><a href="http://www.cogs.indiana.edu/" class="">http://www.cogs.indiana.edu/</a></div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Interested applicants should send a CV and statement of interest to <a href="mailto:rcandy@indiana.edu" class="">rcandy@indiana.edu</a></div></div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">I will also be available to meet in the next few weeks at NETI, ARVO, VSS, CVRS and/or the Gordon Research Conference on eye movements.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div></div><div class="">.........................................................................................................................<br class="">T.
