in the Journal of Eye Movement Research. The special issue features research previously presented at the first Music & Eye-Tracking conference that took place at the Max Planck Institute for Empirical Aesthetics in summer 2017 (</span><span lang="EN-US"><a href="http://ae.mpg.de/met17"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:#1155CC">MET
17</span></a></span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black">). The conference brought together over 60 international experts with diverse research backgrounds (psychology, neuroscience, many fields of music research
including ethnomusicology and systematic musicology) and a common interest of investigating musical processing by using eye-tracking as a method. Broadly, the issue covers topics such as music reading, music during visual tasks, mobile eye-tracking during
