<span style="margin: 0px">Applications are invited for a Research Assistant (RA) at the UCL Child Vision Lab with Dr. Tessa Dekker and Prof. Gary Rubin. The lab is based UCL Division of Psychology and Language (PALS) and the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology (IoO),
with close ties to Moorfields Eye Hospital. The successful candidate will help with all aspects of clinically important research on the development of visual cognition, visual impairment, and rehabilitation with child- and adult participants.</span><br>

<div style="margin: 0px; font-size: 16px; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255)">Task Description: the RA will support visual neuroscience experiments with children and adults with healthy vision and eye disease. They will assist with a range of custom-made
experiments involving computer tasks, eye tracking, retinal imaging (OCT), neuroimaging (fMRI/EEG), and Virtual Reality (VR). They will be involved with all aspects of research, including participant recruitment, task development, data-collection, and analysis.
They will also help maintain the lab webpages and social media, data storage, software and equipment, and report research findings at local meetings, international conferences, and via newsletters.<br>

visual cognitive neuroscience and in developing their research and programming skills. <br>

programming software (R, Matlab, Python), working with children, patients, or other challenging populations, and working in scientific-, or ophthalmological settings is desired. However, extensive training and supervision will be provided, so candidates lacking
direct experience but possessing necessary background skills, technical aptitude, and a desire to learn, are encouraged to apply. This post is an excellent starting point for a career in academia, or in fields requiring strong software and analytical skills.</span><br>
