Understanding Laboratory (Eckstein Lab), within the
Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences at the University
of California, Santa Barbara invites applications for an
open, full-time Postdoctoral Scholar position with an
anticipated start date of January 2, 2020. The laboratory is
looking for individuals with particular emphasis in the area of
computational modeling, computer vision, visual search, eye
movements, and medical imaging. The work involves understanding
eye movements and perceptual strategies during visual search
with medical images. The research seeks to answer fundamental
questions about visual search by humans and machines and apply
the knowledge to radiological decisions with new imaging
modalities. The position will be for 1 year, with the
possibility of renewal depending upon job performance and
availability of funds.
