<html><body style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space;" class=""><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN" style="line-height: 20.700000762939453px;" class=""><font color="#000000" class="">An exciting opportunity for post-doctoral research is available at the New England College of Optometry (NECO) on an NIH/NEI-funded project on eye-movement/gaze-contingent technology and retinal electrophysiology. This is a collaborative research project in translational vision science, retinal electrophysiology (ERGs), neuroscience, psychophysics and clinical optometry, as we aim to investigate the impact of eye movements on ERGs and develop techniques to improve the spatial resolution and accuracy of the recorded electrophysiological signal.</font></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="text-indent: 0.5in;" class="">The post-doctoral fellow will be part of an interdisciplinary team of vision scientists (Drs. Thanasis Panorgias, Peter Bex, and Fuensanta Vera-Diaz). The successful applicant should hold a Ph.D. in Vision Science, Psychology, Neuroscience, Computer Science, or another relevant field.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN" style="line-height: 20.700000762939453px;" class=""><u class="">Skills and Experience: </u></span></p><ul class=""><li style="text-align: left;" class=""><span style="text-indent: -0.25in;" class="">Strong programming skills (e.g., MatLab) </span></li><li style="text-align: left;" class=""><span style="text-indent: -0.25in;" class="">Experience with software/hardware interface</span></li><li style="text-align: left;" class=""><span style="text-indent: -0.25in;" class="">Background in eye-movement research or ERGs is desirable but not necessary (training will be provided as needed)</span></li><li style="text-align: left;" class=""><span style="text-indent: -0.25in;" class="">Experience with data collection and analysis</span></li></ul><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast"><span lang="EN" style="line-height: 20.700000762939453px;" class="">NECO is a small, dynamic institution located in the Back Bay neighborhood of Boston, steps from MIT, Harvard, and Northeastern University, among others, allowing for unique collaborative research opportunities.
