Prof. Daniel Palanker at Stanford University invites postdoctoral fellows to work on a novel modality of non-invasive and label-free imaging of the neural signals. We have recently demonstrated feasibility of interferometric imaging of
the transient mechanical deformations in cells, which reveal the corresponding changes in cell potential. Now, the studies are focused on understanding the underlying mechanisms of such deformations, and on optimizing the system for in-vivo imaging of the
neural signals in the retina.
